Our story

We decided to no longer dream our lives, but to live our dream! This means for us, from now on, to pamper guests under the sun of Central America, in the middle of a beautiful natural paradise. Together with our small, but warm-hearted team we do our best every day to give you an unforgettable time; be it if you are passing through this wonderful country or if you like to stay with us for a longer time. It is very important to us to live in harmony with nature, to preserve it, to respect and appreciate it and to keep human intervention to a minimum. So you will not find trimmed ornamental shrubs with us, but as much as possible untouched, in which there is an incredible amount to discover and observe.

Flurina & Luisa

While Luisa (10) likes to keep her eyes on insects and other animals, Flurina (12) prefers to stick her nose in a good book. What they have in common is their love of the sea and the beach.

A natural paradise

An asphalt road leads directly to our 10'000 m2 natural paradise. The property is home to a large stand of old native trees, a dreamy stream, various fruit trees and plenty of natural habitat for Costa Rica's breathtaking flora and fauna. Our oasis thus offers a beautiful contrast to the vibrant, relatively nearby towns of Tarcoles, Jacó and Parrita, which you will pass on your way to us from San José.

Garden with ancient trees

Enjoy a walk through our garden. Over marked footpaths you can go comfortably on exploration tour and arrive also at the property-own brook, which ripples during the rainy season soothingly before itself. Our paradise offers an ancient tree population, including mango and mango trees, banana and coconut palms, a cinnamon tree, pomelo, cacao, papaya, lime, ylang ylang and trumpet trees. As passionate gardeners, we also work to continuously expand the already natural, rich tree and plant population.

Rich wildlife

The unspoiled nature of our property is also evident in its wildlife. Observe numerous species of butterflies, including the impressive blue morpho butterfly, with its wingspan of up to 120 mm. They sway delicately through the air or feast at one of our nectar sites. In addition, the colorful fishing toucans, the primitive green iguanas, the laughing hawk, the helmet basilisk, the cute variegated squirrels and the hummingbirds are also permanent residents of our property. In general, you will find many native and sometimes extremely colorful bird species here. If you have a good eye, you can also discover poison dart frogs and other amphibians and reptiles during the rainy season. Or you are lucky and may observe coatis or the cheeky capuchin monkeys. In rare cases a sloth already stayed in the trees...

Our services

Parking

For our guests there is enough parking space on the property. The access is secured with a gate. The parking spaces are included in the price of the overnight stay. Moreover, they are easily accessible from the rooms and available for you around the clock.

Wifi

Wifi is available in the restaurant, but still with reduced bandwidth. We ask our guests for understanding that streaming is currently still limited. We are working on an expansion of the bandwidth.

Pets

Pets are welcome with us by arrangement. As the owner you are responsible for your darling. In order not to disturb the wildlife on the property and since we have a dog ourselves, we ask you to arrange times for walks with us and to keep your four-legged friends on a leash. Thank you very much!

Accessibility

You can reach the bungalows and the restaurant without stairs. A few steps lead to the individual rooms.

Transfer

Our accommodation can be reached by rental car from San José in about 3 hours. From the international airport San José Juan Santamaíra you can also reach Matapalo or Dominical by public bus. From these towns you can take a cab to our hotel. The driving time is only 10 minutes. We are happy to help you with the organization of the transfer.
